Thanks for that information. My dad always swore by Sears paint. Over the years I've used the Sears Weather Beater on my parents house several times. I've used their interior paint also but I can't recall the name of their best interior paint.

Sears Liquid

I've also used the Sears liquid, both orange label, Sears-Free liquid, and the liquid with fabric softener. It works okay but I like the powder better. Every once in a while I'll get a wild hair and buy the liquid with fabric softener for the sheets. It does leave a nice aroma. I've also used the Sears with Oxi Clean but I've never used the green box. Perhaps I'll try the green box also. Any of you guys remember when Sears also had powdered dishwasher detergent? I've used that also.

"will it perform well in a quick wash in a euro machine?

Paul

I think it should.  I use it from time to time in my  6K Miele which has the quick cycle configured as the default cycle here in the USA.

The Default quick cycle is:

12 to 20 minute wash

1 or 2 interim rinses of 5 to 8 minutes each, with spins between

Final rinse of 5 to 8 minutes

Final spin of 3 minutes

This cycle works quite well for most loads and I have used Sears detergent orange box in this cycle getting good results.

Sears Detergent

I did not know that Sears offered their label of laundry detergent. Where is it in the store??? I've been thru appliances many many times and I have never seen it, but that's good to know. I love vintage Kenmore and some of the Maid of Honor label things. Are any of you familiar with Sears Maid of Honor?

Where to buy?

The detergent in the Greenville area stores is in the appliance area. It used to be in the hardware department at the Anderson store. We also have a Sears Outlet in Greenville where they sell display model appliances and scratch and dent appliances. They carry the detergent there as well...and it is cheaper there than at the store. I currently have

A 125 load box of the ultra plus with fabric softner if anyone would like it. I paid $15.99 for it and have used maybe 6 loads out of it. I do like it but right now i'm really into All with stainlifters.

Hey Robert......

Maybe these guys across the river may want to buy a sample off you to try for themselves before footing the whole bill.....

why let it go to waste.......

In 1988 they used to have something like a 3lb box you could buy, it was included with my purchase of the Limited Edition's....now its just the big ones....but I do miss the bucket.....one for the free bucket, and the lid kept the contents dry...

Maid of Honor

My friend who turned me on to this site has a Maid of Honor stainless steel pressure cooker and a MOA griddle. I personally don't remember the MOA things but my dad bought my mom a Sears ice crusher in coppertone. Mama gave it to one of my neices. I wish I had it back!

Sears scratch & dent is on Woodruff Road at the servcie center right? I took my Kenmoore sewing machine there once and they sent it off for repair. Anderson used to have a service center, but it closed in the late 70's I believe.

I bought a vintage Sears Maid of Honor stainless steel 4 qt pressure cooker of Ebay. It is almost mint condition. I was excited to find an aoriginal owner's manual from another seller to compliment it. I use it all the time. I believe it was manufactured by National Presto Industried because their cooker models of the period at almost identical.

"The detergent in the Sears store I go to most (in King of Prussia, PA) is located in the back of the paint department."

Joe...Hmm...... what does the King of Prussia Sears have over the one in Cherry Hill, Upper Darby or the one on Cottman Ave?  Maybe these are no longer in existence?

Sears Detergent

I was planning on going by my local Sears and trying the powder with the oxy in it.  But never made it today.  Perhaps tomorrow.  Although, I have enough detergent in supply to last me till the end of July so I really don't need it.

Jerrod: It is just a matter of convenience. I tend to be in King of Prussia fairly often as I get my hair cut nearby in Devon, and I pass through when I visit my parents. Plus I like to check out the mall once in a while. :-) But I think the Cherry Hill Sears is nicer.

Interesting....

It's over by the appliances at the mall here (Clackamas Town Center). I am amazed at the lack of consistency at where they place it. Too bad...it's excellent product.
