Speed Quen / Huebsch water level

I recently decided to increase my ZWN432 water level. Tuned the pressure wich screw 1/4 turn a a time to make sure I would make no mistakes... But I had to stop once I reached 3/4 of a turn (the manual says that turning the pressure switch more than 3/4 turn might result in damaging the pressure switch.). The problem is that I only got 1.25 inch incr in water level while the manual says that 1/4 turn would incr water level by an inch.

To any SQ owner who did the same... Did anyone experience the same problem? Should I go further? I'm only asking for 1 more inch. What do ya say DanMan?

How many turns are left on the screw? I don't think I would worry about damaging the sensor. Go for it!

That happened to me. I think I ended up with 8 turns. The screw threads are what determine how many turns--and apparently they vary by model, mfg date, etc. All it is doing is pushing against the button on the sensor (to see this work, turn the knob to 'reset' on the water level knob and back a few times. It's truly trial and error...took 3 tries to get mine right.

Scared of possible damage

Jeff: At the time I'm writting this I can tell you for sure the my waterfill level reaches the top holes of the agitator; which means I barely reach the 3rd roe of holes before the last row (and I include as a 'row of holes' the last 2 rows that are punched in a zig-zag patern).

DanMan: Are you sure? I got the ZWN432... no difference with the AWN exept for the the control panel they put in prior to shipment to CA. 8 turns!!!???!!!(360 degrees of the screw x 8!)

If I got 1.25 inch with nearly 3/4 turn... with 8 tuns I will over fill for sure.

As I mentioned before, depends on the thread pattern of the screw. Your thread pattern may be different...make a small adjustment, fill the tub and see if that is what you want. Repeat until desired water level. Just don't fill to the top of the stainless...need some 'sloshing' room when washing bulky things like throw rugs. Which should always be washed on gentle or the wash basket will rock back and forth a lot! Mine is AWN542.

This is what I did DanMan... Filled up... adjusted the screw.. Reset... Ajusted the screw... Reset... adjusted the screw...

I don't think the thread paterns might differ. My model was nanufactured in 09. All I know is that I turned the the screw head 3/4 of a turn (almost).

So unless you can provide me with a part number that I could match with my machine (as long as the part number is inscribde on the part itself) I don't see how this could help me further. All I can tell you is that the screw is very small and threads are matching the screw size. (sorry; for more detals I will have to open panel and to provide you with more accurate specs).

Perhaps

The lever that holds the adjustment screw is bent away from the bellows. Maybe you should post a pic and it can be compared to one that works properly.
