It only put stress on the motor and transmission. No damage to the belt and no slipping. Belt is mounted with a 1/2 inch deflect. If anything, motor may over heat and that's about it.

WP BD spin drain?
We used to have a KM BD washer, and when spin starts, the motor really bogs down. If you force one of those into spin drain, it would really put load on the motor, and possibly burn it out. So, if you do that, the motor would really bog down, slowing down the pump and burnout would be knocking at its door because it would take longer to drain, plus trying to turn the drum full of water. I would let it drain out then turn the timer to start spin.
