Hey,

I told Rich I was going to start this thread, and he suggested someone could start one each week. Whaddya think?

Gotta chop & fry a few slices of bacon and a little salt fork, then get some color on your meat!

Remove meat, and add diced onion, celery, peppers (had a few leftover mushrooms so threw those in too) and get a little color on those too!

Add in spices, deglaze with beef stock and wine, add tomatoes and simmer for a few hours. Add beans near the end, and you have....

CHILI!!

Rich doesn't like it too spicy, so...

I mix in a little Tabasco and more chili powder before topping mine (diced jalepenos aren't just for color!!!).

No, we didn't eat the whole thing! I put 4 quarts in the freezer!

My Chili

Somewhere around here I posted my recipe for "Easy Chili." I can't seem to find it - maybe the thread has evaporated already. I can repost it if someone is dying to have it.

Meanwhile, here are a few pix - I whipped up a batch tonite. This time used turkey breast strips.
