I forgot I had these in my camera from yesterday.
I set out to do a small load of white socks and a sheet and descided I should take the groups advice and use the Sanitary cycle.
So I did a soak cycle first. I wear my socks in the house(no shoes aloud usually). So they get alot of wear. And I like them clean. so I did the soak with the standard amount of detergent. The same can be said for the wash. I wasn't planning to take photos but then things started getting interesting so about half way through the wash cycle is where the photos start.

After adding the longest wash time the computer literally read 2 hours exactly. This is the cycle that heats the water. I don't know if it uses a different water level measure. There wasn't much in here just like 12 pairs of socks and a sheet.

O.K. I knew it wasn't the worst. The machine has a program to deal with this. Yes I was worried what I would have to do to clean this up. Be patient.

so it washed for a bit under 1 hour and 40 minutes. The glass was very warm to the touch and the sides were giving off heat.

So I am thinking, This is not going to drain right. But, incredibly. Where are the suds. Now just before it started to drain. It started to knock down the suds by filling with more water.

and finally the clothes start to fall from the tub into the bottom. It kinda looks like fun in there at this point.

Well, the clothes came out fine. They weren't ripped to shreds as I feared. And yes, cleaner than ever.

Erik,

You may find sudsy situations for a whlle as you launder more items that were last washed in your top loader. It's a great example of the poor rinsing capabilities of a lot of top loaders out there. My old Amana TL was an ineffective rinser and I had some sudsy loads in my Duet for a while. Once you've run these types of items through your Duet you won't run into the same sudsing problem with them again.
