... but no workers because it's been !@#$% raining and !@#$% thundering all day! They were actually scheduled to start Monday (crappy then too) but were going to start today because of all the rain delays. I figured they'd be held up at least a week!

And tomorrow's looking to be a washout as well. They were supposed to be off Friday for a long weekend, but he said they may end up working depending on what happens with the weather.

ARGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll post some progress pix if and when they're able to start.

I had this done last summer, along with replacing my backyard fencing. This explains why I'm going nowhere this summer, LOL!

I'm sending you all the "dry weather" vibes I can muster, guys. Nothing is more of a headache than rain during shingling.

Also glad to see they didn't set the piles of shingles/tarpaper on the grass. I'm going to have to reseed that area on my lawn. Amazing what 10 days without exposure to sunlight will do to grass.

the rain was my fault... I did my rain dance and look what happened....

I'll fix it tonite...I'll do another rain dance, but this time I'll leave my clothes ON....lol

P.S.: put out chocolate donuts and coffee in the morning, they will love you, and the sugar rush will charge their batteries, at least a for a few hours....look at them go!...I do this for workers at the house, and on the last day I get subs for lunch....they go the EXTRA mile for you, BIG TIME!
 
Oh this f'ing rain, it's been circling over the NE and Great Lakes far too long, doesn't feel like we've had much summer yet at all other than a few days here and there.. It's supposed to be stopped here by Friday so maybe there as well.

I hope you picked something tasteful for your roof!!!
 
California Drought

Send any unwanted rain to California,( particularly Southern Ca.)

Our rain season, if we are lucky; is usually between November, thru March or April. We are at least 6-8" below "normal".

I feel guilty doing a second rinse (needed for whitest whites)

So, ...Won't you do your dance for your friends on the west coast, Yogitunes? Please, with sugar on top, (or bottom, if you prefer)ha ha!!

1 week of hot weather

We had that back in May when the celebs were in town filming. 85-90 and sometimes pretty humid. I think it was raining in Adam Sandler's shorts!

YAY!!!!

They were able to start today!!! They're planning on doing the section shown, and a couple of smaller sections on the other end so they can button things up before they leave for the weekend.

The decision was made this morning to do low-slope on the back side of the main roof since it's only about a 2 pitch.
