Everyone has vehicle brands they like and are loyal to for reasons of their own. For every person who says they love a brand, you'll find another that hates it.
I have a 2009 Hyundai Sonata that I bought new. I just rolled over 140,000 miles and have done routine oil, filter, etc. I have had one full set of brake pads put on and replaced a starter. That's it. I might also say that car is the first non GM vehicle I have owned, and it has absolutely been the best.
I will not bore you with the GM horror stories I have. I worked for GM Bowling Green Assembly for 7 years and was born and raised in a GM household. I finally got fed up with the issues. I am currently looking at vehicles because I want to step up to a luxury model. I looked at a Cadillac SRX, but honestly I'm scared to death to buy another GM. I really wish Hyundai made a luxury SUV as a step above the Santa Fe. I would buy a Genesis sedan in a heartbeat, but I want the room to haul goodies.
I've been looking at the Lincoln MKT because I love the size and interior, but the back end of that thing is awful. I probably will just keep driving the Sonata because I honestly can't find anything I like as much as that car. My decision would be easy if Hyundai made a Genesis or Equus level luxury SUV; I would snap it up. There is a Porsche Cayenne at the Luxury Import dealer here though... LOL
One can dream, right???
