Well, in late October I bought a CPO 2011 Audi A4 wagon, after barely 3.5 months I decided it needed to go, it was too small, I didn't care for the tighter sporty ride, and using premium fuel I was getting barely 25.5 mpg

So back to GM I went, I went to my local Buick dealer to look at a CPO 2014 Buick LaCrosse AWD, while I was there I noticed they had a CPO 2013 Cadillac XTS, and with both cars being of the same size, and having the same engine I decided on the FWD 2013 Cadillac XTS due to a few options I felt I needed, as in heated steering wheel, cooled front seats, and heated rear seats, and the LED and chrome outer door handles were just cool.

So now I present my 2013 Cadillac XTS Luxury
It's been 2 weeks and 1,000 miles and I absolutely love this car

Very nice choice! Can't go wrong with their 3.6 liter V6, it's proven a dependable engine. Buick and Cadillac are the only two GM brands I would even think about considering these days.
 
Xraytech,  Sweet Car.   How is the ride?   I have a back issues, every jolt is a torment.  I guess I will be riding around in my old Marquis till the body falls off and I am riding on the motor.  Some of the smaller cars and trucks we have had in the past would leave me house bound.
 
Wise choice. Everyone I know with a newer Caddie, or even older model loves them and says their problems are very minor if at all. Every GM vehicle I have owned had zero engine problems, except for that 72 Vega. My Silverado I have now with the 5.3 V8 automatically shuts off 4 cylinders and gets great gas mileage, much better than my friend had to have a new Ford with the total shut off of his V6 engine and it slams on when the gas pedal is stepped on. You will find that your 3.6 gets decent gas mileage and has nice power.
 
Beautiful car Sam! I've always been very loyal to the General. I love my Chrysler 200 that I have now but next time I'd def look at a Caddy or Buick if I wanted a luxury car. Congrats!

I drove one just like that while my 2010 Lacrosse was being serviced.  I'd really like to have one but my requirements were such that they couldn't locate.  I have to have a certain color, options, etc and it had to be AWD to meet my criteria.
 
Very nice! It's dawned on me that I use my car so little now that I probably qualify as an ultra low mileage driver and might keep my car for another couple of decades, lol.
 
I don't want to be That Guy, but I had a valve spring break on the "proven dependable" 3.6 liter engine and the whole engine had to be replaced under warranty. After a seven week wait.

Having said that, good luck with the Caddy; it looks great!

But don't let me NEAR it, I can jinx a GM product faster than lightening!!LOL,The last new Buick I had would stop without warning, and the dealer just shrugged his shoulders and said he didn't know!It was traded that day!My Mother loved Oldsmobiles as did my Aunts , every one I had nickled and dimed me to death...I really hate that because I love the looks of the older Cadillacs, I had a 66 , if you ran thru a puddle on the interstate it would quit and you had to pull over and dry out the distributer cap..LOL, the best GM product I owned was a one owner 50,000 mile 65 Luxury Sedan Olds,it was fairly dependable, and would FLY!  the lemon Biuck was a 2001 LeSabre.

I just recently saw a similar CTS that was sporting a military type flat camouflage paint job.   It looked like it was done by a pro but I can't imagine what the motivation could have been.  Your black one looks way more sexy.
 
The ride on this is nice and comfortable, soft, but not as soft as a Buick or Cadillac used to be.

I know a few people with the 3.6 in the Impala and all seem to be very happy, only bad GM I had was a DeVille with the dreaded Northstar.

Joe, oddly AWD was the one option I don't have a need or desire to have, even in a mountainous area in winter I feel I'd almost never need it. My main thing was a dark interior and exterior.

Hans, with exception of a DeVille I've never had a complaint about my GM choices, and your issues with the LeSabre sound unusual, I've never known anyone to of had issues with those or the Park Avenue, the 3800 was GMs best engine. I had a 90 LeSabre with the original 3800
Then a 99 and 00 Park Avenue with the series II 3800 and currently an ultra low mileage 96 Park Avenue with the series II
I had two of them to 200k miles, and one had to go because of frame rot

Ralph, I agree with the black paint, I looked at a navy blue one and it just didn't look as good

Any dealer worth his salt should be able to find just about any vehicle a customer wants with the help of the Internet.  You can do an online search yourself to.  It should be fairly easy to find what you want or very close to it.
 
Well...

For all GM's faults over the years, they still make some pretty bulletproof drivetrains. I truly miss the 3800...probably one of the best engines they ever built. My ex's parents had an 88 LeSabre that they finally got rid of with almost 300K miles on it and it still ran beautifully. I'd have no regrets buying any GM vehicle at this point. I've followed their engines since the 80's.

I have to give kudos to the Pentastar in my Chrysler 200. It's an amazing engine. I never had the knocking problem...but they did extend my warranty anyhow. It's a beast of an engine!
 
I was pleasantly surprised at the offerings from Buick at our Auto show a couple of weeks ago.  Very stylish and solid feeling cars.  Compared to the Lincoln display next to it, I really liked the GM/Buick offerings much better.

 

Of course, a Cadillac is a Cadillac and you really can't go too far wrong :[)  Congrats on the new baby, I love the black.  I agree on the heated seats, best thing ever on a bitter cold day.  
 
If I suddenly came into a pile of money...

I would buy a new Chrysler 300 and a Town and Country van, I always had better luck with Chrysler products.Only had one lemon, after the sorry LeSabre I bought a new Dodge pickup which had weird electrical problems.....The lights would go out for no reason and the alarm would sound while driving down the road.

We tried everything, my dealer is actually a friend as well.  Other dealers had what I wanted but the issue was that they would not turn loose of it to acquisition or it was out of the range of what I wanted to pay.  I could have ordered a new one but a AWD Platinum Edition XTS is pushing 70 grand if I remember correctly.  You'd have to know me, my requirements were and are specific down to the last detail.  I've become accustomed to certain features in a car and I'll not be without them.  The Lacrosse is loaded to the hilt so I just decided to keep it for now.  We'll see what the future holds :)
