What's the difference between the L6 and the LB6? When I was a kid a family on my block had one of these. I don't recall it having the load weight scale on the door so I'm wondering if that's the difference. I remember the RL-1's at the coin laundry. They were 20 cents a load where the top loading Frigidares were a quarter!

I don't know the difference between the L-6 and the LB-6, but my Aunt had a slant front Westy just like the one in the POD. This washer is what began my life long love of washers, and front loaders in particular. To me at age 5 watching this Westy it was almost as good as watching TV. And I still think that this is one of the most beautifully designed appilances ever built. Its simplicity is remarkable.
