TOL Matag dishwasher

I have a chance to get a TOL Matag dishwasher in fantastic shape. Still plates on top rack & glasses on bottom rack (love the loading pattern in these machines). Owner said it is apx 17 years old. When pumping out water it is very loud. Any way to quiet it down at all. EG. new belt, bearings, grease ... . Any thoughts would be great. Mike

Mike my parents had a Maytag and it rumbled like a freight train when it emptied. Washed great though.... I will look in my stuff to see if there was any retrofitting for sound. I believe there is very little space available to add padding, so be sure there is some insulation on the bottom and toe kick panels

I added some very dense foam to my dishwsher's lower panel - you have to be careful though about how it's fitted around the components, but it's possible to do and helps quite a bit. It's still pretty "vocal" during drain though...

I love the rumbling my grandpa's Maytag dishwasher makes, it's been a fond memory all my life!
