Sylvania TV-those were "Halolight" models-a flourescent bulb was behind the white bezel around the pix tube screen.Phillips came out with a flatscreen TV that had a similar feature-instead LED lights changed colors as the scene on the screen changed-Ie they would be dark during a night scene-green where there is lots of grass-and blue during a daylight scene.
The RCA "stereo" radio phono with a 45 TT-Sorry its NOT stereo-we could say its "Monoerio"!
Knew someone that had a Motorola Hi-Fi console like the one shown-behind the center channel was a "subwoofer" for the really low bass tones-His sounded pretty good.We know of others that would like that woofer!

I have one of those Motorola stereos in the garage. It uses a 15 inch Golden Voice (I think) woofer and a six and 4 inch tweeter. It's a biamp system, using two 6V6 as the bass driver, and a single end 6BQ5 for left and right.

6V6GTA is a well liked and used tube---Hi Fi,"G"fiddle amps, oscillators in Gates AM transmitters-and have seen them as vert output tubes in TV's.For what those Motorolas were-their bass response was really good-The one a freind had you could play bass heavy music thru the console and the bass was well reproduced.-and even when played loud-didn't cause feedback thru the TT.Well engineered Hi Fi console. The 6V6 was used a lot in Magnavox Hi-Fi's,too.esp the Biamp in their Concert Grand tubed consoles.1 pair of 6V6 fed the tweeter horn-double pair fed a 15" woofer. Both the woofers and tweeters from those Magnavox Hi-fis are sought out by "G" fiddle amp folks.esp for Leslie speaker systems.

and blonde color..was popular in the early 50's not the later 40's..but the tube shape gives it a later dating? Nice to have the year clarified, thanks.

Very nice-too bad it isn't near me-from the outlines on the speaker grill cloth-the set appears to have the large woofers and horn tweeters.Too bad they didn't give the money shot of the back of the unit with the cover removed.Want to see the power amps.Good shot of the control panel of the tuner-preamp.TT looks in good shape.
