Reply #41: My dad loved the Orange-Onion salad, so it made an appearance on our table regularly when I was a tyke. I didn’t (and still don’t, for the most part) like raw onions. He’d pull out a couple of orange slices from the salad for my plate and I’d still almost gag because they were tainted with raw onion flavor. Haven’t seen or thought about that salad for many years.

I’m going to have to make the “real-deal” Italian red sauce from the same ad. Four onions! That’s almost one per cup of sauce. Have never seen a recipe for red sauce so heavy on the onion. I like them as long as they’re sautéed or cooked into something. Am interested to find out how this sauce tastes. Will report back. First, must raid the onion display at the grocery store, lol.

Don’t know where you keep finding all these food ads, Louie, but they sure are fun to see. Thanks for your time and effort!

As usual, I found a couple of new recipe ideas (perhaps I shouldn't admit that I want to try that molded gelatin tuna salad with the Campbell's cream of celery soup though... LOL)!

Thank you for sharing these, Louis!

Thanks for taking the time to do this. It's really fun to remember these products and advertisings that I forgot about. What you're doing is greatly appreciated.
