Had to do some catching up! Didn’t get a chance to view the last two batches of photos.

Reply 48: Chuck Wagon Beans—Have already pulled everything from the pantry to make these simple beans. I do plan to throw caution to the wind and use one whole clove of garlic, rather than the 1/2 clove called for, lol.

Reply 53: Was this a regional product? Super Coola was ahead of their time putting pop in cans. The only thing missing was a screw-top rather than the standard pop-top found on bottles of the time.

Thanks as always, Louie! I never fail to find something to try.

C&C soft drinks were still widely available in NYC until I was around my twenties. I remember their TV ads always targeting Pepsi and Coke. I think they were a regional bottler. C&C would occasionally show up in my home. They were always cheaper than the national brands. Nevertheless as a kid we were a Coke household. Sometime before my teen years we became a Pepsi household and never looked back. Boy do I miss Pepsi Light.

Always a pleasure Eugene, and let us know how the beans come out!
