Vintage Viking Washer and Dryer

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

The Dryer for posterity.

Very cool set. Wash time can be dialed back by at least 1/3 as this is probably one of the most violent agitators ever made. Good for scrubbing out coveralls and work clothes, while it lasted. Doing a load of jeans in Robert's once, this beast ripped a waist button-stud off of a pair of Levi's.

This is a rather close shot of Robert's 64 Wizard washing. Same agitator as in this Viking. I believe there are PODs that feature Wizard (Western Auto) and Coronado (Gambles) washers of this vintage.

Priced just high enough so that only a dedicated vintage washer lover would likely be interested.
The seller has been listing stuff for 7 years. I think they will probably still be available after lock-down and travel restrictions are lifted.

Looked Norgey till Glen blew it up

Because of both the solid tub and the available view of only the four large paddle fins.
But......"OH what a beautiful washer; oh what a beautiful day," etc, (the song) !

Stunning, this machine is from the era when there were a million washing machines, every one so different,
so unique, so magnificent, with outrageously tricked out panels and the ever-present "Look at all the extra buttons--how exciting to wonder what they do."

Wonderful, thanks for sharing.

Paul will be hiding this from Chris by Dominion Day.

You KNOW I already looked, Petey! It's about 4 hours away, above the next great lake over, Ontario, not my beloved Erie. DRAT! So today, I boat shop.;'D . Got to get there before that feisty Paul does, LOL. HAHA. What fun!
