"They will be ready to wear when I get home. "

Unless of course the timer motor died in the Bendix and they are still drying and will be a size 14 by the time Jon gets home.

NOW I DON'T WANT TO PREACH......BUT.....

Jon!!! I'm with Gansky on this one. I NEVER leave one of these machines running when I'm not around. (mostly because I love watching them run!) Just NOT a good idea. Hopefully, the machinery is not too badly worn or damaged.....but that did put a lot of wear on this machine. Ok sweetie, 'nuff preaching and love you lots. Mark

*GASP*

Oh no!!!!! Didn't realize the 1-18's had a 12 hour wash...better watch mine! I can't believe the lint it made...OY is right, but I'm just glad it wasn't one of your dryers. Definitely not good when a timer motor dies! One of the reasons why I'm always down there with the machines when I'm washing...through the entire cycle!

I believe (after hearing Rick's 1-18 story on the phone and from experience...replacing that &*$%#$@ spin seal was a bi**h) that a vintage GM Frigidaire is the worst machine to leave unattended, let leak and just throw down a towel, etc., and for a catastrophe like this to happen to...I hope there will be no long-term damage to the transmission or motor! Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to check the bellows seals...

Keep us posted on your findings.

Hi Jon. Sounds like another timer that needs to be re-built. My WI-56 timer was rebuilt a few years ago and is out being re-built again. The mechanic took it out of the machine a few months ago and said it had a burnt smell. Still waiting for it to be returned so mechanic can install it back on the machine.

OY GEVALD!

Jon:

Geez! What a disaster! It was like churning butter! Are you going to have to take that lint filter to the car wash for a high pressure cleaning?

Ya gotta post a pic of the jeans; or what's left of 'em! LOL

My 1-18 already has a broken timer motor. I would never let that machine unattended for the obvious reasons.

Jon, I emailed you under seperate cover about timer motors.

Fringe is good!

Hey Jon!

Those jeans look great! If you bought those at Abercrombie, they would run you $100.00! LOL Maybe you should get in the "distressed clothing" business! How's about "Jetaction Jeans" for a moniker?

Faded and Shredded

Really Louis!

I remember washing my jeans about 1000 times to get them faded, soft, and worn. Little did I know......

Ok Jon, how about this:

"Jetcone Jon's Jetaction Jeans" - J4s for short and the matching "Shredmore Shirts" - S2s? We could use Hugh Jackman as our spokesperson/model. After all, his last name does begin with a "J". I would be more than happy to volunteer to participate in a one-on-one photo shoot. ;-)

That can't be right....

or was you tongue firmly in cheek?

The minimal would then be a two hour wash.

Obviously, those times are in minutes and the timer is broken.
