What do you buy YOURSELF for Christmas?

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I went a little nuts this year...

And I bought this very cool 1956 GE all-electric kitchen with the matching refrigerator! If it looks familiar, 58limited had posted this to the site a while back. Much to my partner's chagrin, I bought it and had it trucked in from Texas! It will actually be delivered to me tomorrow! YAY! Christmas came early this year!!

Paul, what a fantastic gift, It is just beautiful. Please keep us posted. It will be interesting to see if the appliances are still working.

I treated myself to:

1) a 42" LCD HDTV and digital HD service
2) a HD DVD player
3) a Nikon Digital camera and HD color photo printer
4) new clothes
5) a Cuisinart 14 cup food processor

And, I'm not sure I'm done yet!! Merry Christmas to me.

Well the TV in the bedroom died a couple of weeks ago so we got a Toshiba 32" LCD flat panel. We also picked up a beverage fridge so that the pop cans and beer don't take up room in the main fridge anymore. And most importantly, most needed and most expensive is a whole house standby generator that is being installed today and tomorrow after waiting 3 months for it to arrive. The electricity seems to be going out more often where I live and for longer periods at a time. And since both my partner and I have sleep apnea and use CPAP machines, we can't go without electricity for extended periods of time.

Doctor Who Series 3

Matthew,

You're going to love Series 3. In my opinion, though, it has quite a different feel than Series 1 and 2. Enjoy. And, I hope your recovery goes well. Will you be with family?

Best wishes for a wonderful Christmas.

Mike

me thinks..

some new clothes for me... Express had a sale last week, for every $50 you spend, you get a coupon for $25 back.
The deal starts today, so I am going after I go to the gym. If I can spend $200(yeah right like thats a problem) I'll get $100 off...

Another thing I want to buy myself

A freakin' bullhorn w/sirens and all that other crap on it,
so I can yell at all the idiot drivers in rush hour traffic.
Turn on the siren to make slow folks doing 45 in the fast lane move over....yada yada yada.

Just being able to blurt out to someone "Hey you &^%$ing MORON, where did you get your driver's license? A Wal*Mart Kiosk?, would make me feel a whole lot better.
But around here, they probably wouldn't understand it in English, so I will have to get that phrase translated.

I think the 1 finger salute is universal though. LOL

I'm sorry, I am all stressed out and no one to choke.

Back to work.....

Carol, sweetie, I'm there with you on the bullhorn. Or something. Yesterday evening I got stuck behind an IDIOT doing (slightly) LESS THAN 30 MPH in a FIFTY MPH ZONE. I couldn't pass 'cause of oncoming traffic, sparse though it actually was, the spacing is the key. Happens FREQUENTLY on that particular stretch, but there's no other way to get where I hafta go.

I seem to get stuff for myself year-round, so I don't usually do anything special for Xmas. But my last two big purchases were a notebook computer and a stainless tool chest - both of which I need for my job.

Today I'm giving co-workers some fresh limes from my tree. Must be a couple hundred pounds there.
