Both of the big grocery stores in my area have stopped carrying Gain in the HE scent. As a matter of fact, almost all of the powdered detergents appear to be getting replcaed with liquids. What's happening <br
MR

Liquid detergents are becoming more popular than powders, eventhough you and/or I prefer the powder. You should be able to find Tide he powder in stores.

Stock up on the powders

When I get my 800, I'm gonna get lots of Purex and All classic and Tide w/Downy. Yes I know it's not the real All, Purex and Tide but unless I find vintage stuff there's nothing left <br
If there's no more powder I won't be able to use my detergent dispenser :'-( .

When I first got my Frigimore back in '97 the first "HE's" were on the market. I think I tried Tide and Wisk and decided I could not tell the difference in sudsing---just in price! So I quit buying the "HE's". I Like Gain but do not remember seeing it in "HE". You might try Target. The grocery stores in our area can differ tremendously from one store to the next. Go figure. I used to get LaFrance and Fresh Start at the local Kroger. Both have dissapeared. I liked the Fresh Start as I could use as much as I needed in my Frigimore without causing the suds lock the "HE's caused"! Still trying to find out where to find "Persil". Maybe at the Meile store on Piedmont near the Cheshire Bridge fork. Any ideas? Best Wishes, -Steve

Laundress,

Hi, Dave from over at THS.

I have a local grocery store that HAS LaFrance. I've never bought it though, didn't know it was a big deal. They've had it as long as I can remember. Lemme know if you want some and I'd be happy to hook you up.

Dave

Far as I know it is the original formula.
Blue powder in a darl blue box with white and pink writing?

Dave

Last time I looked they were $1.99 a box. I'd say they had 12 boxes... maybe more.

I'll stop by this weekend and pick up what they've got (and check for back stock). BTW, Are you who I think you are from THS?

Dave

Persil

Steve,

The link below will direct you to Persil. If it doesn't work, simply do a search on Persil, and click on the link that mentions "factory direct".

This is how I made my purchase, which arrived only a few days afterward on my doorstep. I bought a 54-load box of "Megaperls", which is made for colored laundry (though it works perfectly on white laundry too). The granules are pink, green and white, and it has a clean soapy detergent scent. It's a bit pricy, but of very high quality. It's a low-sudsing formula that works well in my Bosch front-loader. The site offers a wide range of Persil detergents, both powder and liquid, plus several fabric softeners...I was intrigued at the thought of peach-scented softener and just might try it. Good luck!

GainHE

I get mine @ Wallmart all the time. The liquid or powdre HE go for $4.97 a bottle or box.I also get the green top Gain fabric softner that smells just like the HE detergents!!!!Go on line to WWW.gain.com

KM 800 deterent dispenser

The later Triple Dispensers came with a liquid detergent adapter, I wonder if one may have been offered for the earlier dispenser?

Might be something to check out.

Jason, I've read twice now that you're getting an 800. That is wonderful! Congratulations! I'll have to keep poking around to find out more about it!

Far as Gain HE, I have yet to ever see it in a store, though I have on their website. I love Gain and don't need HE at this time, but it would be great to have it in HE if I did.

The safeways here on maui have fresh start- a kewl product I have loved forever! It don't say HE on it but it works A-OK in my hettie. You gotta wait for a sale though- they soak you $8.99 regular-$4.99 on sale-And to think I used to get it at Big Lots for $2
