OK, this has got to STOP. While taking some trash down to the compacter, this little stud whistled me over. I tried to fight him off, but to no avail, I was hooked.  So meet Mr Whirlpool Convertible, Mod. # LC400XSN1 Stock # LC4900S:

I still have the Kenmore dryer, range hood and the toastmaster fan waiting in the wings. Hubby doesn't know about the washer...yet.

That is a later incarnation of my "harvest gold" Whirlpool "convertible" or portable washer. It probably came from whomever threw out the dryer you nabbed a few weeks ago. You are lucky to have nabbed it before the scrappers got there first.

Appears to be 1987.

SN1 is 1987 model year, almond, revision 1.

Serial isn't clear ... C74-something?  40-something week of 1987.

This is a Whirlpool, the dryer is a Kenmore, although they are both almond, I feel they came from different apartments.

A Direct-Drive...I was sorta hoping for a belt drive.

Looks remarkably clean.
