I finally ran out of Tide HE, and started using Wisk HE. So far I'm really pleased with it. There are hardly any suds at, the Tide HE was really sudsy at times. I even did a smaller load and wasn't paying attention when I was measuring, and added a little to much detergent and still there were hardly any suds. The detergent has a nice smell to it, but doesn't leave a strong scent in the clothes. The first load I did was whites, and I actually think they came out whiter with the Wisk. I think I will stick with the Wisk for a little while. So far I like All Small and Mighty HE, Gain HE, and the Wisk HE. I didn't like the Purex HE at all. Now if the stores here would just carry the Arm & Hammer HE.

Can you find Wisk 3X in your area? It is disappering down here. When I called Wisk, they said it is still their product, but it is no longer on their website...

Discount store one goes to has tons of Wisk "HE" detergent in various flavors:

Original liquid
New "2x" liquid
Huge bottles of "2x" liquid (dark blue and look like those huge liquid containers with pouring spouts Tide liquid comes in).

Did not check prices or such as one has way too much detergents and such stashed away alread and cannot justify bringing home anymore.

Oh, shop had tons of Snuggle fabric softener (again in various flavours including one in a champange coloured bottle that actually smelled rather nice), and Surf powedered detergent.

We are awaiting delivery of our new Affinity pair. I'll be so glad to be done with the plastic POS weakling GE washer and the old Signature/Norge dryer that sends you out of your seat with its loud end of cycle buzzer.

When we had our Duets (let them go as part of the sale of the old house) I tried powdered HE detergent. I'm going to stick with liquid when the new pair arrives. The powder tended to either cake up in the dispenser or leave residue on the glass.

Oh, and the reason we went with Affinities this time is due to space limitations. We loved our Duets. Can't wait until it's fun to do laundry again. Meanwhile, I'm cramming laundry into the GE as a form of torment. It is truly the most flimsy piece of crap washer I have ever had the displeasure and dismay of using, and I'd love to kill it just in time to have it hauled away when the new machines arrive.
