I always thought the small oven door being a different color was odd. But I gues it "works" in conjunction with the fridge!!
Aluminum Panels
Those panels are brushed aluminum, I think. They were a one-year offering on the TOL appliances, where they could be applied as an accent in lieu of "becoming" the whole front. They were on the companion oven on the Liberator range and on the freezer door for the bottom-mount Combination refrigerator (these are the two pictured here). And they were on the TOL washer and dryer fronts. They covered the dryer front below the door and there was a matching panel on the washer front. They did not appear on the dishwasher (pull-out). I suppose if they used this decoration in later years they might make the access panel below the dishwasher door the aluminum component.
