I have NO idea what the model numbers are, but I believe those are TOL Frigidaires of 1966.

Maybe "Unimatic1140" or another Frigidaire expert will give you the exact model numbers of these machines.

But these are some beautiful machines, aren't they???

Allow me

Those are WCI-66's and spectacular machines. These are, I believe Rollermatics and you can see the liquid detergent and fabric softener dispenser in the control panel of the washer and the sprinkler well filler in the panel of the dryer. These are the first Frigidaires I ever noticed and wanted. Still do.

Thank you for posting this picture. This was from an "Electric Living" ad, yes? I have a bad smaller copy of it and I was hoping to find the big version. The utility and steel companies did many neat ads in the sixties featuring some of the appliances we know and love. Here's one with my coveted 1961 GE V-12 TOL Filter-Flo's

In 66 Frigidaire changed the nomenclature for the model numbers - the machine pictured would be a WCIK. The father's hand is in the way so I can't tell if they are a 65 or a 66 set. The dispenser door had the writing moved around between the two years.

Let's hope that the red substance is not oil based paint! ;-)

'K' is what tells us that it is a 1966 machine. The dispensers would have been a feature of the CI. The crazy machines are the WCIAK - a CI machine - BUT the options section has a rotary knob instead of the push-buttons and lack of chrome strips down the front of the machine; but with a dispenser IIRC. Things started to get crazy in the 60's! I don't have my lettering 100 percent, but I think 'L' is 1967.

Holly crap Rick - I had no idea you were done with the set! They look stunning in their new coat of paint. Actually the Coppertone panel looks great with the turquoise hue the rest of the machine has.

Enjoying them?

Ben

Thanks Ben! I though the same thing on the panels. I think the contrast looks great. I got these done late last fall and they are wonderful. They do not operate like a Unimatic though, even with the 1000 rpm spin.

HOLY CRAP IS RIGHT

Rick, that set is positively stunning!!! I have a turquoise 1967 WCIL (now I understand the model number structure, thanks to swestoys). Bajaespuma, what you picture there is indeed a WCIL from '67, exactly what I have, minus the window lid. Rick, what color were they before you painted them? I recall seeing a picture of a coppertone set which were beautiful as well? Do you use the set often? I'm waiting for our Calypso to shit the bed so I can move the Frigidaire into it's place (with my wife's blessing I may add).
