2007.02.15 DishDrawer Load

Skillet held for 4 or 5 days.

Glasses and bowls loaded on the left side.

Plates and pitcher loaded on the right side.

Full load, front view. Notice my pattern of stacking items on top. The handle of the small skillet is not sticking up too high, camera angle makes it look that way.

Cycle selection. Normal = 140°F main wash, 150°F final rinse.

There's a bit of water-spotting on the skillets, non-stick tends to do that.

Amazing!!!!!

It holds a lot of dishes, but I still think that a normal dishwasher holds a little bit more.

Even though, that is still a very exciting and new form of doing dishes.

ultramatic, this is only one drawer filled. Technically a half-load as compared to having both drawers filled.

My DishDrawer is four years old.

Then it holds a pretty large load of dishes. That is surprising. Beautifull design. About how long does a drawer takes to wash a heavy load? Thanks for sharing your pictures

Ultramatic, Glenn is very creative and really does know how to get a very full load into one drawer. That normal cycle load took 75 minutes (1 and 15 minutes according to the digital display above). I looked at the above load and calculated how much of my GE would be filled. As I figure, I'd still have room for 5 dinner plates and 4 salad plates and a littel over two rows left for glasses and the row right down the middle of the top rack. So yeay, it holds about 1/2 of my dishwasher per drawer. For a late 1990s PowerClean WP there would be space for 8 more dinner plates and salad plates each, and probably 2.4 rows of glasses and whatever could be put down the middle of the top rack.

IF YOU EVER wanna sell those BOCK Stone Wear Dishes, let me know.. We have 3 sets of those plates rotating through the family and they are the best.. I remeber them for as long as i can.

Thanks for the pictures of the F&P dish drawers loaded. I've always been interested in the idea, but this the first time I've seen a drawer loaded in actual use -- not staged for an ad.

I have a friend that has just gotten an F&P drawer, so I'm sure he will be interested in seeing the pictures.

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of 2 smaller machines that I could use more often with smaller loads and not feel like I'm being wasteful.

Are the drawers quiet when running?

How do they dry the dishes? Is there a fan mechanism that blows over the dishes like the older KitchenAids?

Thanks again for the info. I'm fascinated.
