remember those bottles withOUT the drip capture top. If you didn't rinse the cap after using it for a measuring device, it would run down the outside of the bottle.
Still, I like the scent from that period.

Hmmmm. I really didn't see a commercial, just a "this portion is brought to you by" spot...It did remind me of when I used to watch Days and GH in the 80s though (LOL).....Good stuff

Thanks for that 1970s Downy ad. Already have that one from 1960 which Robert has shared. I'm having more loads and loads of fun collecting Downy and other ads. Here is one from 1985.--Laundry Shark
