having to deal with the Maytag dryer

Now the calypso washer have a problem

the control console LED and time indicator have problems lighting up

I thought the ribbon cable was loose and needed to be seated

BUT

The socket on the control board is loose

Need advice on how to proceed

Should replace that one board

Both boards

or the whole console entirely

wo9rks fine otherwise except the bleach hose leaks once in a while due to the seal being bad

Calypso, washer, problems

If the socket on the board is loose, you can send it to course centric‘s and have it re-soldered.

I don’t understand why you would replace both boards the whole consul etc. do you have all these parts laying around?

If you have the parts go ahead and replace everything, none of those three parts are still available but you can find good used ones if you want to look around for them

Where the bleach hose attaches to the outer tub they had trouble with leaks. It’s very easy to take it apart clean everything up and use a very good sealant. When you lock it back into the tub, I would use 3M, marine sealant ,

thanks John

tinkering with the Maytag in the background

But and it is a big but

I have a bigger problem than this

The Calypso is totally dead

I want to check it so i can use it

and

I pressed the buttons on the console but it will not start at all

None of the buttons will turn it on

So I gotta figure out what happened

it got complicated

I'm going to have to go thru the parts I have to see if they work

the machine controller I was putting on has a bad connector on it as well

I ended up replacing the inside assembly

have to break it in as it is flashing PF and some of the lights lit

cannot reset it yet
