I got mine, NIB Calypso Set

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Bob: The HE4t is in the inside laundry room. Still have it.

alr2903: Yes, that is a water softner.

Eugene: The Neptune TL is my next venture, I know where one is lurking, but the price is still 799. At REX's, the Calypso's were washer 449 and the dryer 379.

Brent: Jeff got his new toy last August. A new tractor.

Have already done four loads. Thanks everyone for all the comments and information etc. This is fun!

There is that Awesome garage again. It looks great and congrats on YOUR new toy.

Thanks Andrew for the explanation on how these work. I had heard they were the best design. But maybe this is because people have been using them incorrectly.

Congrats on your Calypso. I think they are pretty cool machines. I'd like one, but with 10 cats, I don't think I would be too happy with them.

Get another Calypso washer if you can. As for the matching dryer, meh, it's just a Whirlpool dryer...

More information

After speaking with Glenn (dadoes), we shared serial numbers etc. This is the results Glenn gave me on my machines. Interesting. We both thought that Whirlpool had mass produced these and had warehoused them hoping for a large bank deposit. Not the case.

Dryer MT4003193. M = Marion Ohio facility. T = 2006. 40 = 40th week of
2006. 03193 = item sequence number of that week.

2005. 95141 = item sequence number of that week.

You know the way the Calypso works it should not have had that much water in it.
The water level is OK. That looks to be a very large load of heavy towels, which hold more water than other types of fabric. The water doesn't drain through them as quickly as lighter-weight fabric or a smaller load.
