Miele W3033 Washer / T8003 Dryer

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Interesting how the LCD display and the whole front panel in general is exactly the same as the 4840.
The shipping struts are a bit different though...the 4840 has some plastic pieces as well

lip2000,

Mine has a metal top, back and sides... can't recall if the front is plastic or not. The control panel and most of the door cover is though, and in fact the outer plastic "lens cover" on the washer window is a tiny bit loose and rattles during high-speed spin.

One gripe I have is that the top (at least) is just painted as opposed to a more durable finish method, and is very scratched up from just detergent boxes, clothes and the occasional short-term laundry basket sitting up there. I've never had any other washer get this scratched up this fast from just regular use.

Updates on Lotus

Well I've been super swamped at work so haven't done much with the basement lately. I've got most of the drywall done and ready for texture, and I've already got my texture sprayer a few weeks ago.

Thought I'd share a preview of the lighted detergent cubbie (sanded and ready for texture) with more appropriate items inside. Also, a nice size comparison shot to the LG dryer vs Miele Washer, and the utility sink and countertop I put in :-)

Slow progress, but I'm also going to probably put down ceramic tile. My partner will be home from Antartica this week hopefully, weather permitting, so he wants to go pick out tile.

Had to change up the plumbing for the Miele drain hose, which cleaverly is 1-1'4" and able to be sealed to a drain stack with a compression fitting. Makes the water drain much quieter vs my old top loader whirlpool or even the LG that I had to stick inside the 2" standpipe unsealed.

Also, I've reached my 100th hour tonight on the Miele, bless her heart. I've named her Lotus. (She's painted Lotus White) LOL. Her husband T8003 Dryer is in finally! I need to get that shipped although I'm not exactly in a huge hurry. I probably won't install it until the basement is finished, just more to move out of the way when I'm doing my remodeling down here. I'll post pics of it when it gets here in a couple of weeks probably, and thank god he doesn't weigh 250lbs like his wife does...

I think it uses an actual 3 phase motor with a modified sine wave applied to it(VFD module). I won't know for sure until I see the motor.
