Yes. The voltage in N.A. is 110v except dryers and ranges, which work off 240v.
My Bosch Vision 800 TOL front-loading washer has a heater and with our voltage it takes 2 to 2-1/2 hours just for the WASH portion of the program to finish. That's a long slow heating process and really unecessary as far as I'm concerned as it's too much time for the clothes to be in there tumbling around needlessly. Then the rinses on top of that. Sometimes over 3 hours for one load.
I do like heaters in washer, and in a twinnie it would be a real bonus for those stubborn-stained loads.
But since that's not very often, I can manage I suppose.
