Hi all,

So I went to pick up the keys today for my new house (EXCITEMENT!!). The house, originally, never came with any appliances, but the previous tenant left a washer/dryer behind. The landlord said if I don't want it, just to get rid of it. So here it is. I think I can safely say, I will not be using this over my Miele Prestige Plus lol.

PS. that gap in the floor is wear part of it lifts up for access into the cellar. Doing it this way, created more space in the kitchen :)

Well the Candy's lighter than the Miele, I'd imagine, which would make it easier to move out of the way when you want to access the love dungeon (assuming that's what you have a cellar for, that is).

Could it be posted to London? I'm still looking to retire my machine and have a soft spot for Candy (twisted, I know).

: )

hi Alex,

You the cellar hatch works the other way, so I don't need to move the washer to access it.

I did consider converting it into a rubber playroom. But seeing as my dryer is going down there, it might be a little awkward when I go down to get my personals out of the dryer, and there's some poor bloke chained to the wall lol.

Sadly now. Collection only due to lack of transport. It's not a BAD washer as such. But it's certainly NOT a Miele. Plus, my Miele has the 5 year warranty

Ah, yes...makes far more sense NOT to have the trapdoor under the machine!

Alas no Candy for me, then...no wheels at this end either and train travel is so costly these days, notwithstanding the inconvenience of balancing a sack barrow on the escaltors.

Don't discount the rubber room - marvellous for keeping out the damp and will muffle the dryer noise!

Alex

These are really good machines tbh, like you say, not a miele but still not a bad machine. If you were closer I'd take it off you :-(

LOL...

I can see it now...

"Wanna come over and watch my Miele in action?"

"Sure"

"OK, just stand right here in front of the washer to get the best view"

"Sure...." (sound of string pulling hidden latch open) (WHOOP!)

One more washaholic in the bag...

Don't worry....

....remember Chris, you commented, we're just joining in the fun....

....'now how much is that Qantas fare I saw earlier?.......'

Well, Chris, I feel I may slightly be at fault for lowering the tone so early on in the thread, so apologies if you feel your reputation has been tarnished. I'm sure you're not doing anything any of us wouldn't, given the opportunity!

Should you find yourself embroiled in a rubber-related scandal, however, just remember: say nothing, look fabulous and settle for nothing less than a spread in Hello magazine.

Cheerio!

Alex

OMG ALEX THAT'S TOO FUNNY! And so right! Don't worry - the tone was never high in the first place. You have tarnished nothing, sadly.

Jon, we'll have tonnes of fun, you just wait - painting my living room. lol
