new member just testing to see if this will post. all of the pictures of your children are so cute.I have seven dogs and one cat.they are considered my children that have run of my house and heart. Have a great week.
Hi everyone, My dog Fred is a retired Greyhound which just turned 7 this month. Greyhoungs make great pets, sensitive and very much the couch potato that comes with this breed. This is not a very flattering picture of me but oh well.
Here's Cosmo Maximus -- he would have been a champion showdog given his amazing bloodline and good looks but thanks to a botched ear docking (and crooked result) we got him for a song, and he's been a great friend and typical loud & barky Mini Schnauzer. He turns 10 this July!
Bridget just had her first birthday. In the photo she's about three months old. She was a feral kitten living in a junkyard, and we caught her when she was about eight weeks old. Myra Jane will be six years old this summer; she's very small (~8 lbs.) for her age. We adopted her from the Humane Society when she was two. There isn't a sweeter cat on earth. (Hear that Bridget?)
What a great showing here, you all must be so proud, I know that life would not be the same for us without Norman. He is 8 years old now, still runs around like a puppy, about 50lbs, on the medium small side for a Basset. That is OUR bed in the picture.
thanks for the welcome. I do have pictures but they are in my phone and I do not know how to get them to the computer. But as soon as I do I will post them on the thread.thanks again and have a great week
This is Oliver, whom I just adopted in January. He's a Staffordshire Terrier ( aka-pit bull) and black Lab mix. I prefer not to say "pit bull" because I always get THAT look from people. He's a total sweetheart and snuggle bunny. He had a rough start to life, was a drug dealers dog from puppy to 6 months, then was abandoned in the house when said drug dealer went to jail. Someone called the local rescue who came to get him after who knows how long he was alone. They couldn't put him up for adoption for 90 days because he was "property" of drug dealer. Finally a local rescue got him, poor guy spent 6 months of his only a little over a year old life in shelters.
Here is a not so good picture of me and a much better picture of Fred, my retired Greyhound. We were out for a walk and the neighbors, who live behind me, took this.
