I see you've tried Tide Pods. Are you having any oversudsing issues? They clean well, but sudsing is unpredictable in softened water.

I have no problem with pods, in fact the water in the wash is comparable to henkel persil, zero suds, must be your softened water, this is my second front loader, i had a 2007 lg, the one with the rear control panel like the speed queen has with their front loads
