We always shut the water off when we are done with the washer. Today, my wife started a load, and forgot to turn the water on (first time ever). When she went down later to throw it in the dryer, it was dry, and hadn't run, so she calls me down to look at it.
I noticed the water off right away, and turned the valve on. I hit cancel a few times, no go. I checked the manual it says to unplug to clear the fill error. Then it started fine.

Here's my question, when you turn it on without water, it makes a buzzing sound. According to the manual, the fill error starts if it hasn't filled in 30 minutes.
Did letting it buzz like that for 30 minutes hurt anything? Or cause any wear?

Thanks.

Thanks.
I figured it was just the solenoid, but wasn't sure if it could overheat from being energized for 30 minutes. I guess it's usually on for 10 minutes anyways.
