Wont spin draining a belt drive whirlpool burn up the belt?
The clutch slips by design during spin acceleration, no effect on the belt. Think about what happens when the basket is dragging during a suds-lock. The belt doesn't burn up then, right?

WP BD spin drain?

We used to have a KM BD washer, and when spin starts, the motor really bogs down. If you force one of those into spin drain, it would really put load on the motor, and possibly burn it out. So, if you do that, the motor would really bog down, slowing down the pump and burnout would be knocking at its door because it would take longer to drain, plus trying to turn the drum full of water. I would let it drain out then turn the timer to start spin.
