Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

The AEG dryer has the big opening, so it is probably second half of the eighties, early nineties. It's a "U" (Unterbau) model, which means that it was meant for placement under a counter. The fascia is different too from the freestanding models. The freestanding equivalent would be the Lavatherm 740 (picture)

Electric Cooker Control Panel

And not for silly money either.

This style of cooker switch was used for maybe 40+ years in the UK. This one is post the 1970s style update for the switches. For any US/Canadian readers its not actually unlike a US style outlet in construction. The SS front its essentially just trim and unscrews to leave the switch/socket assembly behind. The cooker/range is isolated by the switch on the left and the socket on the right can be used for kettle etc. The countersunk mounting box is HUGE!

In the UK we still use similar switches but they are rather smaller now

Kitchen

In Belper, Derbyshire. Sorry the pictures are so small, the ad does not allow for enlargement

The seller is either mad or smoking something for the price they are asking. What's REALLY interesting in this kitchen is the Westinghouse Oven. These were imported from the late 1960s to around the end of the 1970s. Its odd that the hob seems somewhat newer to my eyes.

Still, at that price I wont be going for it
