Lint filters in washers

I don't like any of them except the "button catchers" in front loaders. They came out as a means of stepping customers up from the beginner models. I think Whirlpool was the first washer to have one and all they did was add another hose onto the pump to recirculate the water from there into a brush fitted filter that was a bitch to clean. Then, they had the nerve to introduce their "Self cleaning filter" I think it was called the "Magi-clean" that had a reversing flow that washed the lint out as it drained and went into the spin.Other manufacturers had their own version like the GE Filter Flo and the Frigidaire 1-18s had a bed of nails type.Westinghouse and Hamilton had their own versions too and the Hamiltons were a lot like the GEs.

Our first Whirlpool had the waterfall filter and the washer was in the basement with with no sink so I was always taking it up stairs to the kitchen sink to clean it.

I think my favorite filter would be the GE Filter Flo.  As for dryers I like the WP/KM with the top mount filters, or any filter that is in the front.  The WP/KM portable dryer filters are kind of pain when they are on the floor but when on the rack they are easier to reach.
