Whirlpool Top-Loading Dishwasher

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I think you had slightly fewer top-load manufacturers than front-load: TL included KitchenAid, GE, D&M, Whirlpool, Frigidaire and Westinghouse. They generally used their usual systems--KA used their single-level wash throughout the life of their TL manufacturing; GE moved from impeller to wash arm with tower, D&M moved from impeller to washarm and used the roto-rack over the fixed douchenozzle, Whirlpool had dual wash arms; IDK about late Frigidaire TL and late Westinghouse TL (don't think there was a spraytube Frigidaire TL; there clearly was an impeller TL Westinghouse (from their built-in line) but IDK when they moved to an arm design and whether they had a second level wash).

Didn't know there was a special term for the way I load dishes.

Many of the Mobile Maids, as well as later built-in GE Top Loaders, with impellers also had Power Showers. I tested one recently and the cleaning, without pre-rinsing, was excellent. No yibbles, but one or two glass pools with tiny particles left.

Back when... it was nice to be able to get a high end model as a portable.
Now they seem to punish people who would like a DW as a portable....lowest of low.
My collection is changing from all types to strictly Top Loading.
Of the 29 machines I have...6 are T/L
2 KitchenAids
3 Whirlpools
1 GE MobileMaid

"I just have to clean this kitchen!"

I think that was the dishwasher featured prominently on the first and second episodes of "Bewitched". I'd kill for one of these. What a collector's item!

Hi Launderess - well, if so, it's very obscure. The mark, when I blow it up, is a single quote to replace the number 19 that usually precedes a 20th century understood year.

so '69 is what I am getting... but if you see a dollar sign...not going to say otherwise. Hmm...anyways, when would this ad be printed, anyone?

Actually, I found that picture using Google Image, and I typed in appliance store 1969, and it appeared. I was typing different years, one by one to see what comes up.
So I think it is from 1969.
