Couldn't decide where this post belonged as ...

I started the KDS20 at the same time the 2004 Kenwhirl. (Ultra Wash)

They both had Crusty Full "Almost Bobloads". The 20 was set on "Heavy Wash"...

The KenWhirl was set on "Normal Wash + Water Heat which made it Ultra Wash".

KDS20 wnet through 6 Water Changes, while the KenWhirl went though 4 Water Changes.

GUESS WHO WON THE RACE ???

I don't think I have to tell you who was the cleanest after the shortest cycle ???

Nate, How's your 20 doing ?

Sounds interesting,

I have a few questions as my mind boggles.

How many Litres did each machine use in total for both loads? Did you collect it in buckets or sinks to verify actual water usage?

If not how many litres in a change of water in each machine?

Does the KenWhirl monitor the wash water with sensors?

Enquiring Minds Must Know

Cheers Rob

Nice!

The 20 here is spiffy, Eddie--thank you so much!!  :-)

We're enjoying basking in the glow of clean dishes.  Man, that thing does a lot of water changes--it would be interesting to measure on the "Low Energy" cycle.  I also noticed that ours does a flush midway through the cycle, reminiscent of the old GE impeller machines that did the "Yibbles-Away" drain.

I'm looking forward to hearing more about your testing of each machine!  :-D

Top Rack

There is also a "Spritzer" on the top of the tub.

Cycle sequence on the Ultra Normal Wash is Prewash, Wash, and then 2 rinses.

The KDS 20 just cleaned better and in a shorter amount of time with 2 more water changes.

I did not measure the amount of water they used, but bottom line, they both completed their cycles in One hour or less.

Would anyone have a Owner's Guide that might specify the Water Usage on a KDS 20 ?

I'm going to dig out KenWhirl's Manual and see what the consumption is.
