Great photos. It looks like the GP parades/festivals where great no matter where they were at. It's important to celebrate who you are and who you love!! <br
Keep the pics coming and HAVE FUN!!

Happy, happy GP to one and all....the holiest of holy high holidays!! Let's remember all those who have come before us, who've helped us get to where we are today, even though we may have a long way to go, it sure as heck is light years ahead of where we were in 1969!! Long live Ms. Judy!!!

<i>have you checked out that new bar over in St. Paul yet. Sounds like a really nice place.</i
Hi Scott, no I had never heard about it until this weekend. We rarely cross the Mississippi river, but will need to sometime soon to check this out <br
We just got home from a wonderful long weekend and as Egghead from Batman would say, I'm egghausted <br
I took many pictures but I'll share just a few now, this first one was from early this morning walking towards to the parade route, but what is neat about it is the building which is now a fancy restaurant used to be Central Washer Service from the 1940's-1980's. The owner Ron Johnson had occupied the first floor and basement as was always willing to let me rummage through his stuff. Although I was living in an apartment then and had no room yet for any washers, it was the first place I had ever seen a solid basket GE as he had two 1959 machines in his basement. Oh I can remember so vividly how I wanted to see those work so bad!

Yay for quintessential pride weather

It was a picture perfect hot summer day for the parade, low humidity and highs in the upper 80's.

I have never been to a Gay Pride parade. But I have seen television coverage of these events before.
I do have a question. Why is everyone dressing in such outrageous clothing? The whole pride thing is about equality, isn't it?
One would think that the gay community would want to put forth the best possible image during these events.
Could somebody explain why this is?
