Someone once said, and have to agree that only a bunch of drag queens or gay men could pull off 'the Women" today. The biting dialouge,sharp quips and back biting, all in very upscale language is very hard to do today. People just don't get it anymore.

Consider when Peggy and Syliva go to Black's hunting down Crystal Allen. "Oh look, Baby"! *LOL*

Or, "And as you say, you have so many men".

Crystal shoots back, giving as good as she gets "When one's mind is on one's own business" and "It will be out in the morning, Mrs. Prowler"

I will see the new version but as usual, the original is always the best version. The Opposite Sex was ok but again, not as good as the original. Nothing like Norma Shearer, Joan Crawford, Rosalind Russell, Joan Fontaine, Marjorie Main, Paulette Goddard,
Mary Boland, and Lucille Watson. A star studded cast.
